Here are our two champions from this years TAKMFL Playoffs. Greg Smith won the Super Bowl and Tom Hutchins won the Toilet Bowl. Here is the money break down for the tournament. First of all here is what's in the bank. Entry fee was $100 apiece...that's $1,400. Minus $140 to me for running "The Show", that leaves us with $1,260. Each week, 17, we pay out $50 which totals $850...now we are at $410.00. Our weekly claims totaled a whopping $721.25 adding up to a total Pot of $1,131.25. Now the Super Bowl tourney skimmed off 70% of that total to claim $792 for their share of the pot. The Toilet Bowl got the rest which was $339. Here are the winning totals. Greg Smith won $239 for winning the Super Bowl. Brad Zoet won $150 for runner-up. Mike Meyer won $111 for third spot. Jim Porter won fourth place money of $103. Roger Hill took 5th spot with $71. Jerry Altena had 6th place money with $63 and Team Ludcas got $55 for finishing last in the Super Bowl. In the Toilet Bowl, Hutch wins $102 for winning the Toilet Bowl. Dan May got runner-up money of $64. Dave Downer got third place money of $47. Peppy notched 4th place money with $44. Vern Plasrok won 5th place money with $31. Matt Wilfong won $27 for finishing 6th and Scott Downer gets $24 for finishing last. After the final week games are completed and a weekly winner is posted I will give you the final money totals and what you got coming.

Here are the top three weekly winners in TAKMFL. With one week remaining, the first sixteen weekly winners were tabulated and Roger Hill cashed in with four wins, no seconds for a total of $120.00. Mike Meyer took seocnd place honors with 2 wins and three seconds for a total of $110.00. Jimmy Porter finished third with two wins and two seconds good for $100.00. Everybody cashed at least a second place finsih, which is worth $10.00. Here are the other winners...Brad Zoet one second ($10); Greg Smith two seconds for $20.00; Hutch two firsts for $80.00; Dave Downer one first for $40.00; Dan May two first for $80.00; Jerry Altena two firsts and one second good for $90.00; Team Ludcas one first and one second for $50.00; Matt Wilfong, Vern Palsrok and Scott Downer all cashed in one second for $10.00 each. John Pellerito had three seconds for a total of $30.00. With one week to go and total rosters in tact, we'll see if old Roger can hold on to his title.

Well this years TAKMFL Champion is the Hopkins Flash, Greg Smith, shown here with his beloved Spartan shirt...hey maybe the "Spartys" should have hired him. He wrestled the trophy away from Brad Zoet, who thought he had a firm grip on the prize. Both of these gents were long shots at best IMHO...but then again, what the hell do I know. The final score in the Championship game was 55.8 to 48.8 so it wasn't a total blow out. Remember all final payouts will be figured out after next weeks bids, if there are any. Also remember that next week is "Total Roster" week. You can play with your total 13 man roster with the position restrictions in mind.
Aslo, be thinking of a time when you want to settle up for the Winter Meetings.

Mike Meyer beat the slumping Jimmy "Don't call me J. W. damn it" Porter and his lovely Waggoners by the score of 58 to 41 and won third place money in the Super Bowl Tourney. After such a great start, ten wins right out of the gate, Port fell on his perverbial ass, losing his last two weeks...It seems to happen ever year eh!

Roger "The Dodger"? Hill won (5th place money)the two week total points in the regular Super Bowl Tourney with a total of 74.7 + 43.6= 118. Second place went to the Frenchmen (6th place money), Jerry Altena, with two weeks worth 70.6 + 35.4= 106. Holding up this twosome was team Ludcas with a two total of 44 + 38.4= 82.4 and they collect 7th place money.

Old Aches and Pains was the "Victor" in the Toilet Bowl Tourney with a 59.8 win over runner-up Rocky and Bullwinkle with a total of 40.2. Remember all final money will be figured out after next weeks bidding if there is any.

David Downer, the famous "Polski" beat up Peppy in the infamous "Ethnic Bowl" (for 3rd place money in Toilet tourney), the score was the Polish 31.2 the (W)ith (O)ut (P)apers 28.8.

In the battle for 5th, 6th and 7th in the Toilet Bowl, Uncle Verno won (5th place money)the two week total points shoot out with a total of 99.2. His winning total beat second place finisher (6th place money) Matt Wilfong with a total of 84.2. Last on this totem poll was Scott Downer (7th place money)with a grand total of 56....nice number for Joe Schmidt, but doodley squat for the tournament. Final money totals will be supplied after next week's bids if there are any. The two week totals for the three: Verno 51.4 + 47.8= 99.2. Matt 63.8 + 20.4= 84.2, and Scott 21.4 + 34.6= 56

Tom Hutchings, unable to work his magic because his internet service dropped him like a "bad habit", had to manage his team through the Commissioner's office and did it well enough to win weekly pot for week number 16. His total of 59.8 was just slightly better then second place finisher Mike Meyer with 58. The Hopkins Flash just missed that honor too with 55.8 points. Hutch pockets $40 and Meyer gets a "Tenner".

Well here is Roger's big puss again. That means he won another weekly pot...yippee!!!He was eliminated from the real big money last week and then he robounds with his third or fourth weekly pot...life isn't fair boys! In the Super Bowl tournament, both top seeds were beaten'. Porter's Waggoner, was kicken' everybody's ass all year scores 30 points and Zoet has a easy win at 43.4 to 30. Meyer who has been red hot as of late, runs into a red hot Monday night duo of Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison, who are wearing the colors of the Hopkin's Flash and he sneaks by the Maulers 67.8 to 63...who da thunk it? In the Toilet Bowl pairings, Rocky and Bullwinkle got by the Polski 44-33.2 and Hutch knocked off first round bye-man Peppy's Boys 30.8 to 17.2. Way to show up Pep! In the battle for 5th, 6th, and 7th place Hill's 74.4 leads the Frenchman 70.6 and Ludcas with 44. Remember that they will add their next week's scores to this week to determine their final finish. In the Toilet Bowl 5th, 6th, and 7th battle, Fong's Thong with 63.8, Uncle Verno with 51.4 and Scott Downer with 21.4 are waiting to add next weeks score to determine the outcome. Week 17 with be total roster with limits to positions for the final weekly pot. Merry Christmas folks!!

Mike Meyer wins weekly two weeks in a row...thanks largely to Chicago's kick return specialist....Didn't Travis Williams return four kickoffs for the Packers in '67 or '68? Anyway I had to download his face two weeks in a row too....Here are the results of the opening week of both Playoffs...Meyer's Maulers crushed Hill's Hog 81 to 44 point six. Hopkin's Flash got by the Frenchman 51 to 47.8. Zoet and his band of Zeroes drilled team Ludcas 62 and 2 to 32.4. Next week, Porter will tangle with Zoet and Meyer takes on Hopkin's Flash, Greg Smith. These four teams are battling it out for the top four spots. As for Hill, the Frenchman and Ludcas, they will play total points for the next two weeks to find out who finishes 5th, 6th, and 7th in the Super Bowl tourney. Toilet Bowl results had the Polski ripping his own kid Scott (Downer's Uppers) 52 to 35. Rocky and Bullwinkle edged Uncle Verno, and he still sent me a Christmas card...what a sport eh...the score was 52.8 to 48.8. Hutch was the other victor in Toilet Bowl games with a 45.6 to 23.2 over Fong's Thong. Here is how they will match up next week...Remember Peppy got th efirst round bye, he will tangle with top seed Hutch and Rocket J Squirrel will do battle with the Polski. These four teams are battling it out for the top four spots. As for Scott, Matt and Uncle Verno...they will be playing two week total points for 5th, 6th, and 7th place in Toilet Bowl. By the way Zoet's Zeroes took second place in the weekly this week with 62.2 total.

Well the wrap up of the regular season has Meyer mauling Hutch and winning the weekly pot by almost twenty points over second place winner Hopkins. In the match games for that last game of the regular season, Meyer whipped poor Hutch 76 and two to 34.4. Downer's Uppers rallied on Monday Night to defeat Rocky and Bullwinkle 50 to 45 and eight. The Hopkins Flash road Reggie Bush, and beat Hill's Hog 56.4 to 39 point two. Fong's Thong knocked off the regular season champ Porter's Waggoner, 38.4 to twenty eight. Zoet's Zeroes finished the season strong with a 35.two to 34.8 win over the Frenchman. The Polski knocked off Ludcas by the narrowest of margins 40 point 8 to 40 point six, and Uncle Verno knocked off the Pepster 41.6 to 35 point four. Now here is how the playoff picture looks. We are going on our own...the yahoo program doesn't allow us to have the playoff we set up for last year at the winter meeting so we are going by hand...please disregard the websites schedule...it is not the one we are using. We have two tourneys...the Super Bowl and the Toilet Bowl...Seven teams make up both tournaments. Porter's Waggoner won the right to have a first round bye by winning the regular season with an 11-2 mark. Peppy won the first round bye in the Toilet Bowl, even though he was the last seed, because he scored more points during the regular season then any other team in the Toilet Bowl. Now back to the Super Bowl. First Round games...Number two seed Meyer will take on number seven seed Hill. Hopkins, the number three seed, takes on the number six seed, the Frenchman. In the other Super Bowl match up for round one will pit number four seed, Zoet's Zeroes against number five seed, team Ludcas. In the Toilet Bowl the 8th seed Downer's Uppers will tangle with number 13 seed the Polski (Dear old Dad). Uncle Verno, the number nine seed will do battle with Rocky and Bullwinkle, the number 12 seed. Fong's Thong, number ten seed, will take on Hutch, the number 11 seed in final round one game.
This is a three week tournament. The earlier you lose, the less money you can win. Now, even though the Super Bowl is getting 70% of the Total Pot to divide up, doesn't mean a team from the Toilet Bowl couldn't win more money then a member of the Super Bowl tournament...likely most of the teams in the Super Bowl will win more then the teams in the Toilet Bowl, what with only 30% of the total pot going to the Toilet Bowl. Remember that for these final four weeks of the NFL season, the weekly pot is still available for the $40/$10 first and second prize. Also, if you can't load your lineup in to please send it my way (Going My Way...Bing Crosby) either by phone or e-mail...I will be leaving just after noon on Saturday and returning Sunday mid afternoon so don't get bent out of shape if you see some lineups change after the 1:00 start time....it's just me being late again....Merry Christmas...Rocky

What a key move inserting the Vikings defense instead of those struggling Steelers who were playing the tough Baltimore Ravens...no brainer Jerr. With this Jerry Altena waved by-by...(or is it bye-bye?)...(Vern help me on this one babe)... to Peppy as the Pepster tried to rally with his Monday night troops. He fell just six point two points short...but then again Peppy is short. 13 of the leagues fourteen teams score 40 points or more...yes the Hopkins Flash would have gotten their ass kicked by every team in TAKMFL this past weekend. Here are the weekend scores. Rocky and Bullwinkle beat up on the punchless Hopkins Flash 40.8 to 22. six. Fong's Thong had a tough game, but prevailed 47 to 42.point six over Hill's Hog. Porter Waggoner moved his mark to 11-1 with a 50-47 and six win over Meyer's Maulers. The Frenchman, AKA Jerry Altena, slapped Hutch 84 and six to 72 point two. Zoet's Zeroes have come on late and squeezed a tough 49.4 to 48.8 win over team Ludcas. Uncle Verno rallied to beat the Polski 54 and 8 to 45 and Peppy's Boys drilled Downer's Uppers 78 and 4 to 47 point 8.
With one week left in the regular season, six teams have already qualified for the big Super Bowl Tourney. Porter's Waggoner will receive the first round bye and all the 7 and five teams are in...that includes Hopkins, Meyer, Frenchman, Zoet and Ludcas. The big bubble team is Hill. If he wins this week he will be the seventh qualifier, if he loses some of the 5 and 7 teams that win next week could make it...they are R and B, Fong's Thong, Hutch, Downer's Uppers and Uncle Verno. Now I include all of those 5 and sevens, but they need to win and Hill to lose if they have any mathmatical chance. Remember we go head-to-head competion for the first tie breaker...if we have more then one team in the tie breaker, and we don't have a clear winner, we will go total record against the other Super Bowl qualifiers...if that is still tied, then we go on total points. Any questions give me an e-mail or a phone call..

The Odd Couple...Father Guido Sarduci aka Jim Cassis and Randy Quade...aka TL aka Asshole...aka Terrance Anthony Ludford won the weekly pot in a hottly contested week as four players were within ten points of each other. Ludcas had 72.2 to cop honors as the Hopkins Flash had to settle for second place cash with 64 and six. Meyer's Maulers and Hill's Hog had topped sixty too only problem from Hill's perspective is that they were pitted against one another and old Rog fell four percentage points below Mikey with a final score of 63.8 to 63 and four. Couldn't of happen to a better guy though eh. In the weekly match games, Ludcas crushed Hutch 72.2 to 28. With that win Ludcas moves up to 7 and 4 while Hutch drops to 5 and six. We told you of the Meyer-Hill match but we failed to report that with the win Meyer nudges ahead of Roger with a 7-4 mark and Rog falls to 6 and five. Rocky and Bullwinkle got enough points from their Monday night participators to edge Fongs Thong 34.6 to 32.6. Both of those teams have 4 and seven marks. Porter's Waggoner won his match game but lost his QB for the season as McNabb bids farewell in week 11. Port knocked off the Frenchman 43.8 to 25...the Frenchman has lost his last three games and falls to 6 and five while Port has the leagues best mark at ten and 1...In fact with that win Port has clinched a first week bye for the Super Bowl round of the playoffs. Zoet's Zeroes doubled up on Uncle Verno 34.2 to 17.2 to bring his record to 6 and 5, while Verno is currently at 4 and 7. The Polski won his second straight, this one a big one over Peppy's Boys and with that he has tied the Pepster for the leagues worst record at 3 and eight. In the last game for the weekend, Hopkins own "The Flash" won for the seventh time this year beating up Scott Downer 64 and six to 17 point four. Scotty is struggling at 5 and six. Right now the cut off is easy...Brad Zoet has the last playoff spot for the Super Bowl round...at six and 5...only problem we have two weeks left in the regular season. Anything can happen. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
