The big Load had to hold on as the duo of Ludcas almost grabbed the top spot in week #8. Hill's Hog had a total of 72 going into Monday night when New England invaded Minnesota and Tom Brady, I won't call him the Golden Boy (Paul Hornung is the ONLY Golden Boy"), almost got Ludcas the weekly winner. They fell just three shy of the top as Brady was brilliant. "The Hog" wins the $40 check for first prize and Ludcas collects the ten dollar second prize. In the weekly match games Porter's Waggoner stays undefeated with his 8th straight win of the season, a 60 and four to 38 and two win over Peppy's Boys. The Peppster has his record drop to 2 and six after 8 weeks on the job. Ludcas ripped Rocky and Bullwinkle by the score of 69.4 to 47 and four. Ludcas is now five and 3 and R and B is 2 and six. Hill evened his record at four with his dimantling of Uncle Verno by the score of 70-35. and 8. Vern is now three up and five down. Hutch got to five hundred with his 50.6 to 31 win over the Polski. The Polski drops his 5th in a row and is now one and 7 for the year...no wonder the Tigers lost, the Polski backed them and gave them the "kiss of death" with his announcement to me over my phone messages..."Tigers are up 3-nil...go Tigers!"...they promptly lost that game and the next two too! Oh yes by the way he had tickets to game six too...Zoet's Zeroes have a mild two game winning streak going and are now 4 and 4 with their latest 55 and four to 46 win over Downer's Uppers. Scott falls to five hundred too. The Frenchman is "Mr Lucky" this week with a 35.6 to 25.8 win over the Hopkins Flash. Eleven other teams had higher point totals then the Frenchman, yet that slime-dog wins his 6th of the year against only two set backs. The Flash is 5 and three. In the only other game of the weekend, Fong's Thong beat up on Meyer's Maulers 57 and four to 36 and 8. Both of them are currently four and 4 on the season...speaking of four and four, six teams have that record and find themselves tied for 5th place in the race for the Playoffs. I will give you this years Playoff procedures as they have been changed from last year at a later date. Also, I will send all of you the "money list" of all your claims. It is in Microsoft Excel so if you can't open it I'll tell you your numbers....later dudes. This Friday night the Cougars travel to Zeeland to take on the Zeeland West football team....I don't know their nickname but I do know that they have one heck of a football team...we are gonna be in a ball game folks....I hope the Polski is pulling for Zeeland West!

Well I don't know about you guys but Porter is getting a little too much for me to take. He has paid some big bucks for some key players, Crumpler and Leon Washington, and they have come through for him. He cashes the big check this week with a team score of 81.6 and what is really amazing, he is still undefeated! Second place goes to everybodies punching bag, Joh Pellerito with a team total of 64. It was Peppy's second straight win after losing his first five...he thought those were exhibition games! In the weekly match games Rocky and Bullwinkle took advantage of Uncle Verno's "Eight Men Out" lineup as he didn't want to cut loose another property. Vern played with only 8 players and still came pretty close to beating R and B falling five points behind at 46 and four to 41 and two. Verno could have still one but his claim of John B. Hall was waisted as "Johnny B" was injured...also Verno took the $5 penalty for his move. Peppy drilled long time rival Hill's Hog by the score of 64 to 49 and eight. Porter's Waggoner dropped the Ploski into the basement all by his lonesome with a 81 and six to 54 and two score. The Polski was complaing about the schedule last week and it bit him in the ass again. With the right "Karma" he could have beaten 11 of the fourteen teams in TAKMFL. Now that's some real tough SHIT!!! Awe he won it all last year any who. Zoet snuck by Hutch by the score of 36 and four to 28 and four. Hopkins' own Flash drilled Ludcas 53 and four to 26 and two. Rex could have used some of those points Smitty!!! The Frenchmen continued his hot streak with a 49 to 24 and two win over Fong's Thong, and Downer's Uppers schmoozed Meyer's Maulers by the tune of 36.8 to 33.6. So the battle for supremecy in TAKMFL has Porter on top with a perfect 7 and oh. The Flash and the Frenchman are next at 5 and two with three more teams, Downer's Uppers, Meyer's Maulers, and Ludcas at 4 and three. The remaining seven teams are below the "Mendoza Mark"...that's five hundred in standings lingo...
Well this week the shit hits the fan in local high school playoffs....we tangle with South Christian and if we are fortunate to win get the survivor of the Holland Christian and Zeeland West match.... This is usually "Blow Out" weekend, I hope that we are on the right(left if your reading a boxscore eh!) side of the blow-out!
Until next week happy halloween you knobs!

Da Bears struggled against the lowly Arizona Cardinals and then rallied with two defensive touchdowns to win and keep their record spotless. Well Mike Meyer was the one who benefited from da Bears rally and almost caught his buddy the Frenchman (Jerry Altena) but fell a couple of points short. Meanwhile Da Frenchman was racking up some much needed points from Neil Rackers (11) to give him the high total for the week at 82.6 and the weekly pot winner. Meyer's furious rally vaulted him over the Peppster's 79.6 to get him second place money. In the weekly match games, Porter's Waggoner continued (like Da Bears) to be the only undefeated team in the league with a 62-56.6 win over Zoet's Zeroes (2-4). Peppy ripped Rocky and Bullwinkle for his first win of the season by the score of 79.6-45.8. With the win they catch Rocky and Bullwinkle (and the Lions) with a 1 and five mark. Hill's Hog evened his record at three apiece with a 46.8 to 40.6 win over the Polski, whoes joined the Lions at 1 and five. Downer's Uppers pulled even at 3-3 with his 46.2 to 41 win over Hutch's Hunchs, who have fallen to 3 and three. The Flash (Hopkins) got by Uncle Verno by the score of 47.2 to 37.4 to bring his record to four and 2, good enough for a second place tie with three other teams. Uncle Verno drops to 3 and three, tied for third place with four other teams. Ludcas got by Fong's Thong with a 46.4 to 31.8 win which gives the "doo ooh" of Ludford and Cassis a 4 and two mark. The Thong is even at 3. And the big game this week saw The Frenchman eeck out a 82.6 to 80.2 win over the Mauler and tie them in the standings at 4 up and two down. Couple of reminders if you are reading this page. Please make your cuts after you know that you have acquired the player you bid for...there is a four day waiting period on your cuts so if you do it early then your player may be selected prior to the week being completed. If you are making game day claims, plelase wait until Sunday to do so...this will give me time to update the rosters from the regular claiming proccess. I know we will have some problems when the NFL starts playing Thursday games in late November...the Bastards!!! I am back now for awhile...although I know I will be in Detroit on the 2nd of December for that weekend...so plan accordingly....Rocky

A winless Rocky and Bullwinkle roll to week five win with a total of 68 and 8 while Porter gets his picture in the post two weeks in a row winning second place money with a total of 52.8. Port, you big knob, you claimed a defense that was let go but you were sharp enough to know they were available so I let you keep them. I now have increased the waiver time from two to four days...maybe that'll learn ya! Also, you lost seven points because the Cowboys got eleven points baby. In the weekly match games, Rocky and Bullwinkle, minus Rocky, whipped the Polski 68.8-18.8. Both teams are struggling at one and four on the young season. Zoet's Zeros won their second game of the season with a 37.8 to 25.6 win over Hill's Hog. Both of those teams are now 2 and three. Porter's Waganoer is the only undefeated team so far with a perfect five and oh mark as they ripped Hutch's Hunches 52 and 8 to 30.2. Hutch's mark goes to a "full count" at 3 and two. The Hopkin's Flash won his third game of the season beating up the winless Pepparooski by the score of 45.6 to 38.8. Uncle Verno won his third of the season with a 41.8 to 28 win over Fong's Thongs. Matt is also in at a 3 and two mark. Meyer's Maulers won their fourth of the season beating Ludcas by the score of 47.2 to 34.8. Ludcas drops to 3 and two. In the last match game Downer's Uppers beat the Frenchman 46.6 to 27.6 Scott is now two and three and Jerry is 3 up and two down. I'll be gone again this weekend so continue to send your e-mails to Danny Boy and his phone number is 887-1815. Remember too, that if a player is rated as both a running back and a wide receiver, you can keep him listed as a WR, but can still play him as a runningback too. In other words, you will actually be able to have "4" runningbacks on your roster without penalty...see ya next week. Rocky

Well this week was a wild one. Jimmy Porter won the weekly pot with a fine Monday Night game from Donovan McNabb, who tallied 22 points in bringing Jimmy's total to a whopping 85 and eight. With that outburst on Monday Night, Porter was able to leap-frog over Uncle Verno, who had what looked to be the winning total of 80. Verno got great results from Santana Moss with 20+ points. Now as hot as they were we had seven teams score 26 points or less in their match games. In fact old Hill's Hog got a paultry total of 15 and two! We had three losers this week,if they were matched up against anyone of six teams, they would have won their game! In the match games this week Porter's Wagoner drilled Downer's Uppers 88 and 8 to 24! With that win Porter is the only team still undefeated in TAKMFL. Zoet's Zeros got off the loser's band wagaon with a convincing 52 and 2 to 26 win over still winless Rocky and Bullwinkle. Who said two heads were better then one? Hutch's Hunches rolled to their third win in a row with a 63 and 4 to 15.2 thrashing of the Hogs. In a battle of "Who Gives a Shit", the Hopkins Flash edged out the Polski 25 and 4 to 23 and six. Fong's Thongs stayed hot and kept Peppy winless with a 69 and six to 53 win over the number one Italian in the greater Rockford area. Peppy, with his 53 points could have beaten' nine other teams if the schedule would have been kinder to him. Uncle Verno got into the winning column with his 80 point explsion, beating Meyer's Maulers 80-36, and in the yawner of the week Ludcas knocked off the Frenchman 24-21. Close game but where is the offense men? I will be out of town the next two weekends. I am hoping my partner, Dan May, can take the steering wheel for me....take care men!!!
